How to Use Includers Effectively
Use includers to filter out irrelevant listings.
Tips for using includers successfully:
- DO NOT USE INCLUDERS ON YOUR FIRST SEARCH.
- When you have created a search look at the results in your feed to identify irrelevant listings.
- Take note of key words found in the titles of irrelevant listings.
- Edit your search and add includer words that are in the titles of items you want to see and not in the titles of irrelevant items.
- Remember: If you use includers, it is essential that you list all the relevant includer words for your search, otherwise items you want to see will go missing.

How to Use Excluders Effectively
Use excluders to filter out unwanted listings.
Tips for using excluders successfully:
- DO NOT USE EXCLUDERS ON YOUR FIRST SEARCH.
- Have a look at the results in your feed. If there are irrelevant results, edit your search and add excluder words that are found in the titles of irrelevant listings but not in the titles of your target items.
- Be careful not to exclude words that can be found in the titles of items you want to see.

The Key to Success
The key to a perfect feed is to analyze what key words you want to see and what key words you don’t want to see by studying the results from your first search in your feed. You need to fully understand what words you need to exclude and include in order to perfect your feed. Then add the key words in the filter categories. Then check you haven’t inadvertently blocked listings you want to see. Most importantly make sure you include all the relevant includers if you are using any includers. Also consider using price and location filters and blocking spammy sellers.
